Nordic Roots and Routes: A Journey into Northern Values

ICOM Nord and the Nordic museum are pleased to invite you to a unique and thought-provoking spring gathering where we will explore what makes the Nordic region both distinct and interconnected. Join us for two days of inspiring discussions, workshops, and networking with colleagues from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

What makes the Nordic region unique? What unites us, and where do we differ? How is the Sámi culture shown in museums and why is that important? Together, we will explore these questions and discuss the Nordic perspective on culture and values connected to the new exhibition Nordic life at Nordiska museet. On Tuesday we will get the latest news from the museum sector close by and worldwide. The meeting fee has a discount for ICOM members. There are a limited number of participants.
