Riksförbundet Sveriges Museer med flera medlemsparter står bakom detta initiativ till dialog med de ukrainska kollegorna. Två dialogmöten har hållits: 3 juni och 19 augusti. Gripande vittnesmål om nuläget under det pågående kriget om att man från rysk sida medvetet riktar sig in på att rasera och plundra kulturarv. Under första och andra mötet har samtalen påbörjats om hur svenska muser kan samarbeta med ukrainska museer för att stödja återuppbyggnaden efter kriget. I konferenserna deltar engagerade representanter för kulturarv i Ukraina och Sverige.

Organizers: National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Swedish Museums Association with member partners, Development Centre “Democracy through Culture” 

Objective: To learn about the current situation for museums in Ukraine today, in order to understand their needs and build a platform for future cooperation.

At least 12 (maybe 15) Ukrainian museums will give presentations of their activities, before and during the war, and what they see in the future. This will be concluded in a dialogue about possible paths of cooperation and action. Ideas and initiatives are most welcome.
