Älmhult is on its way to becoming a global destination for design. The Museum of Furniture Studies, the acclaimed institution founded by architects Kersti Sandin and Lars Bülow, has been acquired by IKEA Älmhult AB. Soon, one of the most comprehensive furniture collections in Northern Europe will re-launch in the southern Swedish province of Småland with a mission of inspiring and educating students and young professionals in the field of architecture, design and crafts. The ambition is to make the concept of the museum more accessible to more people.
IKEA Älmhult AB is focused on initiatives that move IKEA and Älmhult forward. The company also manages IKEA Museum, IKEA Hotell, Aktivitetshuset in Älmhult as well as IKEA Property, and it is part of Inter IKEA Group, which includes the product development centre IKEA of Sweden.
Job Description
The Project Leader will lead and facilitate projects and initiatives within The Museum of Furniture Studies. You will continue the work of ensuring establishment and further development of The Museum of Furniture Studies in Älmhult. You will also be responsible of developing the Museum of Furniture Studies programme offer.
In this role, you will play a key role in both internal and external collaborations, ensuring smooth processes and great long-term relationships with stakeholders. You lead project teams and coordinate people to perform and deliver through our company values. You will keep track on scope, time, costs and apply applicable delivery methods and tools. We see that you lead with communication and manage change, dependencies, interfaces and risks within the projects and initiatives you are leading. You lead by example and promote our company culture and values.
The museum is located in Älmhult, Småland, Sweden but you will work in an international arena.
