Efter över 35 år i museibranchen blir det den
närliggande kulturmiljöbranchen som VD för Strömsholms kanal. Kanalen är 110 km lång från Mälaren i Västmanland till Smedjebacken i Dalarna och är byggnadsminne.
Hans-Lennart har mestadels jobbat på Sjöhistoriska museet där han var museichef åren 2007 - 2019. Nu närmast kommer han från Statens försvarshistoriska museer där han varit senior rådgivare.
